ABOUT LAUREN JOE
Hello! I’m a PhD candidate studying amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in Dr. Janice Robertson’s lab at the University of Toronto (Dept. of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology). My research focuses on the effect of C9orf72 haploinsufficiency and dysregulated actin dynamics in a mouse model of ALS, where I exercise techniques involving electrophysiology, immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, and data analysis. With my research, I strive to advance both biomedical science and inform on potential therapeutic strategies for ALS.
