ABOUT LAUREN IRELAND

Lauren Ireland is the owner of Evolving Beings Embodied Connections Counseling, LLC. Hello and congratulations on beginning your journey to improving your mental health, wellbeing, and relationships! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health with an emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy. I am currently working towards my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, where I enjoy the privilege of teaching and supervising Master’s students who are working towards becoming mental health counselors. I enjoy and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My theoretical orientation for counseling integrates attachment-focused, relational-cultural, and person-centered theories, while I continuously consider clients’ intersectional identities from an equitable, multicultural, and social justice lens. I believe clients of all ages are fiercely capable, and that you all know yourselves best! I think counseling can be considered when we believe we could benefit from an objective perspective or when we feel lost, misunderstood, or confused regarding how to move forward. I will work diligently to build a relationship with you, or with each of you in your relationship, to facilitate a sense of trust, safety, and unconditional positive regard. I am empathic, while also being direct, which means I will respectfully and compassionately challenge and confront you to lessen cognitive dissonance and to promote a sense of awareness and congruency. When you are ready, I will be here to support and encourage you to create change, break old patterns, and achieve your goals!
