ABOUT LAUREN HOWELL
Lauren Howell is a community organizer from North Carolina. As a graduate of the Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy, she has utilized her legislative skills to to push for instrumental changes in public, private, and non-profit spaces through her strong collaborative leadership approach. Lauren has focused on addressing the political issues of voter suppression, police brutality, women\'s rights, educational justice, and the intersections of artificial intelligence and civil rights. Awarded the Terry Sanford Leadership Award for her tenacity, mobilization skills, policy work, and creative problem solving, she has used her camera to amplify marginalized narratives in pursuit of justice, at Stanford University, earning her MFA in Documentary Film and Video. She is now continuing her education at Harvard Law School to learn the legal skills to make a meaningful difference in her community and the legal system at large.
