About Lauren Doty Brown
Lauren Doty Brown, CFRE is a fundraiser and storyteller with a particular interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ communities and people experiencing poverty or homelessness. Before joining EMPath as Senior Director of Development in June 2023, Lauren was the Director of Individual Giving at Fenway Health where she led an individual giving team and managed the silent phase of a comprehensive campaign. Lauren is credentialed as a Certified Fundraising Executive, is an alum of the Institute of NonProfit Management\'s Core Certificate Program, and has a post-grad certificate in NonProfit Management & Leadership from Tisch College at Tufts University. Lauren recently concluded two terms on the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth, and served on the SparkBoston council by appointment of former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh. She also volunteered as a bunk counselor for seven years at Harbor Camps, a camp for transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming youth, and is a proud Boston Public Schools parent.
