I support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This involves both classroom assistance and 1:1 support outside of lessons. My role focuses on promoting engagement, emotional regulation, and positive learning experiences.Key responsibilities:• Providing in-class support to help students access learning and manage social or behavioural challenges.• Delivering 1:1 support outside of lessons, tailoring learning strategies to individual needs. This often involves use of visual cues, mindmaps, sentences starters, etc.• Mentoring five students through weekly check-ins, fostering trust and supporting emotional well-being. • Communicating weekly with parents/carers to share progress, celebrate successes, and address concerns.
