ABOUT LAUREN C BROOKS

With 10 years of producing experience and a Master\'s in Film and Television Producing from Chapman University I have developed the skills and knowledge required to create content in every format. Working on projects that range from social and digital media to virtual reality as well as feature films and commercials, my ability to step into different teams and adjust to different platforms has made me an asset to my production partners. I have line produced projects of varying budgets, from small indie passion projects to multi-million dollar endeavors. I have worked with large and small teams and understand the importance of being diligently hands on while also allowing the experts to run their own departments. My biggest strength lies in communication and spreadsheets. Some would call me the spreadsheet queen. I believe clear, concise, and transparent communication is the easiest way to make sure everyone is on the same page and can perform their jobs to the best of their abilities. My peers describe me as a bold leader with endless energy who is unafraid of hard work or long hours. I believe in creating environments that encourage everyone on my team to learn and grow. I define success as everyone on my team succeeding together. The teams I find the most success with are ones that allow for a consistent stream of new ideas, a safe space to share concerns and new practices, and an overall good sense of humor. Everything that can be done can be done better with a good attitude, encouraging teammates, and healthy dose of laughter.
