ABOUT LAUREN BIGELOW

I’m an energetic, hardworking senior with a 3.73 GPA at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a collateral in International Business. During my time at the Haslam College of Business and while working as an intern in the marketing organization at SAS, I’ve learned the value of data-driven communications and I’m excited to apply my work ethic and skills to the next step in my career.At SAS, I oversee several communications initiatives, creating, optimizing and distributing social media and newsletter content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Global Marketing Systems (GMS), Sprinklr and SEMRush. I also work with the Customer Engagement team to launch the first-ever SAS Customer Recognition Program, with the goal of acknowledging and rewarding customers who have contributed the most to SAS’ success. This involves defining and naming the awards, website creation, budget-building, writing executive scripts for the award ceremony, communicating with vendors, etc. I’ve also- Spent a semester studying abroad at Florence University of the Arts in Florence, Italy, concentrating on International Business- Advised new students as a Peer Mentor at UTK, partnering with faculty members to help freshmen transition to life in Knoxville and moderating discussions on topics like diversity, inclusion, financial hardship, and health and wellness- Led exercise classes as a Group Fitness Instructor, teaching participants of varying experience and capabilities I’m currently a member of Women in Haslam, American Marketing Association (AMA) and Professional Sales Leadership Program (PSLP). In my free time, I enjoy practicing landscape photography, testing new recipes in the kitchen, running, skiing and exploring the outdoors.
