About Lauren Anderson

Lauren joined RSM in 2013, she provides audit services to privately held clients in a variety of industries. She is involved in the planning, fieldwork and the preparation of deliverables for various financial statement audits, reviews and agreed-upon procedures. Lauren currently oversees the day-to-day activities of the audit process, including the development and implementation of the audit strategy, review of accounting policies and controls, supervision and training of audit engagement team members, and working with in-charges and partners. Her industry experience includes: real estate (commercial, multifamily, residential, retail, REIT - fair value, hospitality, and construction), not for profit, manufacturing and distribution, and the audit of employee benefit plans. She uses her varied industry experience to bring fresh insights and new perspectives to her clients by leveraging successful models.

1. Audit Innovation - Rotator (Long-term)

   RSM US LLP

   May 2025 — Present

   For the period of May 1st, 2025 to October 31st, 2026, I participated as a long-term rotator with the Audit Innovation team, a group within the National Professional Standards Group. During this rotation, I was able to work with a variety of audit innovation team members, developers, analysts, and leadership to offer feedback and assist with innovation tools used in the audit practice. This rotation allowed me to be involved in all phases of audit innovation tool development (Design to Delivery). As part of my role within the digital team- I was the product owner for a new product for the duration of the lifecycle, from contracting, through pilot, and to deployment- I co-led the deployment of significant updates to existing tools deployed to the practice, including development and delivery of training, and resources- I acted as the Assurance Digital Curriculum Owner, and spearheaded initiates to transform the digital curriculum and ensure inclusion of both theory and relevant application of tools within existing courses.
