About Lauren Thibault

As a self motivated student and recent graduate from Auburn University\'s undergraduate accounting program, I plan on pursuing a Masters in Accountancy throughout the Auburn 20••••26 MAcc program. My hard work and persistence have cultivated my thirst for learning and growth within the business community. During my senior year of high school, I established a fictitious business for a leadership class presentation. For this project, I created a 26 page business plan with detailed financial statements and presented to a panel of business owners soliciting funds for my unique business. The result was very favorable and I received commendation from the panel, teacher, and peers. In fact, my business plan became the class model for future leadership project presentations. While strenuously working on this project for eight weeks, I developed a keen interest in calculating and analyzing various financial statements pertaining to my innovative business. With a new appreciation of the financial world, I have a passion and curiosity to learn more about the language of business. As a result, I decided to major in accounting at Auburn University and join various business organizations that would enhance my business knowledge. During my undergraduate degree at Auburn, I was a member of Auburn\'s Consulting and Advisory Practicum, Beta Alpha Psi, Alpha Kappa Psi, Alpha Delta Pi, and the Women in Business organization. In 2023, I served as the Vice President of Administration for Women in Business. During Spring 2025, I served as the Vice President of Operations for the Consulting and Advisory Practicum. Throughout these leadership roles, I developed invaluable leadership and communication skills. Furthermore, I have a passion for advancing my technological knowledge with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and iMovie productions. In 2023, I was awarded the Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate (Office 2019) certification. I am a determined student, who has developed a growth mindset with an ambition to take calculated risks. I am looking forward to incorporating these strengths and my driven personality into a productive accounting career. My organizational skills and tenacity will encourage me to explore new and challenging areas of involvement. I am seeking opportunities to strengthen my business insight and gain invaluable experience within the accounting field.
