About Lauren A. Kaplan
Over the past fifteen years, I have taught people of all ages-from young children to undergraduate students to retired individuals-how to understand and appreciate art. With a dual background in academia and museum education, my pedagogy merges lots of contextual information with an open, multi-modal learning style that works for audiences of all backgrounds. In addition to running my own art tour business, which offers in person and virtual tours, I have taught at many colleges and museums in New York City, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and Hunter College, CUNY.
