ABOUT LAUREN DOLLARHIDE

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and an Adjunct Instructor in the Counselor Education & Rehabilitation Master’s program at California State University, Fresno. With over eight years of experience in community mental health and private practice, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, cultural/racial trauma and identity issues, and perinatal and postpartum challenges. My practice is rooted in culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, ensuring an inclusive and validating therapeutic environment. I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling with an emphasis in Counselor Education and Supervision from Oregon State University. My research explores BIPOC mental health disparities, the impact of language in framing mental health narratives, and the relationship between social media use and self-esteem/body image concerns. I am passionate about bridging clinical expertise, education, and research to advance equitable mental health care.
