ABOUT LAURA SPYROU

I am a highly experienced Talent Acquisition leader with experience working within engineering, manufacturing, transport, distribution and life sciences across UK, EMEA and Global settings. By being curious and creative I have developed effective Talent Acquisition strategies to meet critical challenges and am a transparent, driven and empathetic leader who always gets the best from the teams I lead and work within. I thrive being close to the business and understanding how my team and I can ensure we support the business to meet and exceed commercial objectives. A passionate DEI advocate and ally I work hard to ensure our TA strategies are inclusive and ensure we are creating diverse teams within any business.I lead the recruitment team to deliver an effective, cost efficient and best practice recruitment service, always looking for ways to improve; we face any of our resourcing challenges head on. I value my internal partnerships and always effectively manage our external vendor partners to ensure we are extracting a valued service and good ROI.Its hugely important to me, and the quality of the service delivered, that the TA team are fully integrated into the business and are seen as a valued partner having a direct impact on the bottom line through reduced attrition, reduced cost and efficient time to hire. As the creator of recruitment strategies, road maps and implementation plans I am always looking for new and better ways to be supporting the organisations overall strategy with technology and process improvements and innovative ways to have a more agile workforce.I never sit still when there are recruitment challenges to be met and love coaching and driving a team to do the same!
