ABOUT LAURA P.

As an Organizational Change Leader at the U.S. Department of State, I focus on the people side of change to prepare, support, and equip individuals to adopt and use changes that will improve our work for millions of people and decades ahead. I have a proven track record of leading teams, fostering innovation, building relationships, and negotiating complex issues to resolution.I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Government & International Studies and a minor in Asian Pacific Studies from George Mason University, as well as certifications in Management and Consular Training from the National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Conflict Mediation, Web and Graphic design. I am also a small business owner with over five years of experience in curating responsible, worldwide artisans and providing personal shopping gift services. In September 2024, I adapted my business from brick and mortar to online, focusing on community support and spreading joy through unique and meaningful gifts. I’ve dabbled in Mandarin Chinese and studied immersive Italian language, art history, international & comparative politics at Centro Fiorenza, International House World Organisation. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the world by sharing and influencing learning interactions with and between those around me, and using art and the act of giving as a bridge between people.I’m a singer, author and wannabe historian at heart, with oh-so-many fun times and adventures ahead with my hilarious family.
