Laura is a dynamic patient advocate and nonprofit executive with extensive experience leading patient advocacy organizations. As the Chief Operating Officer of the Autoimmune Association, she oversees organizational operations and strategic initiatives in mission, impact, and stakeholder relations. As an autoimmune patient herself, Laura fosters a culture of empathy, collaboration, and patient-driven outcomes. Her keen focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging has led to innovative programs aimed at breaking down barriers and empowering patients. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governor University. On the weekends, Laura enjoys hosting gatherings, traveling, and exploring new places with friends and family.Laura currently serves on the Board of Our Brain Bank, EBSCO Generative AI Advisory Council, Novartis HS Patient Council, EMD Serono Patient Advisory Board, GSK Lupus Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) Leaders Steering Committee, argenx Autoimmune Roundtable, BMS Psoriasis Advocacy Advisory Board, and the River Rec Teen Zone Advisory Board. She is a member of the Women\'s Health Innovation Coalition, Michigan Nonprofit Association, and American Society of Association Executives.
