Charitable Solutions, through Dechomai Foundation primarily deals with donations of non-cash assets, including but not limited to real estate, limited partnership interests, restricted securities, closely-held or privately-held companies, cryptocurrency, art and collectibles. In this position, I serve as the primary donor/professional advisor liaison from the initial conversation, through due diligence, donation all the way through to the final grant. This position runs point with a team of two accountants, a support staff and three senior attorneys.This role allows me to continue to expand upon my past experience with American Endowment Foundation that included a specialized focus on the charitable acceptance, investment, compliance oversight and liquidation of over $500M in complex assets (closely held stock, real estate, hedge funds/alternative investments, insurance policies and commodities). From that time until my departure in 2020, the team I lead completed over 80 gifts of closely held business interests/private investments by building trust and demonstrating the ability to establish effective relationships with business owners and their teams.
