I lead the UX & UI for a roster of higher education, non-profit and enterprise Drupal websites. Working with a team of amazing people, we work together to deliver modern, responsive and accessible experiences for our clients.In my day to day, I\'m in Figma creating component-based Design Systems, along with landing pages and other top priority pages that we\'ve previously discussed in our Discovery phase. I\'m collaborating with my team to ensure design meets features and requirements, as well as accessibility guidelines. I\'m also meeting with clients, presenting designs, doing live demos and gathering feedback.

ABOUT LAURA LEFURGEY-SMITH
I am a UX & UI Designer with over a decade of experience. My goal is to create user-friendly and engaging products and design pieces that inspire positive change. Recently, I was the lead Product Designer at Left Travel, part of Left Technologies Inc. Prior to that, I was a UX Designer and Research on the RightMesh project, which is building a Decentralized Mobile Mesh Networking Platform and is on a mission to connect the next billion people and lift 100 million out of poverty. I have worked with companies and organization such as David Suzuki Foundation, Briteweb, Radius SFU, the UBC Centre for the Democratic Arts, Evok Innovations, Talent Collective, and Take Me Outside Foundation. I have worked both as a freelance contractor and employee, and have a wealth of experience working with both internal and external clients.
