Responsible for assessing Member engagement and identifying opportunities to evolve and expand both Member engagement and the financial relationships with Mazuma\'s Members. Focuses on maximizing Member engagement that ultimately drives Member growth through both existing and new products and services, and key process improvements. Staying current with the financial services banking environment and competitive landscape to identify key opportunities for the credit union; defining and leading strategic initiatives impacting Member experience, products, and services; and leading efforts to move strategic initiatives from ideation to implementation as requested by the executive leadership team. Working cross-departmentally, this position serves as an Operations Team liaison with Mazuma\'s business units ensuring that key initiatives both resonate and are actionable with Member-facing team members. Additionally, the Vice President of Member Engagement and Government Affairs is responsible for leading Mazuma\'s Government Affairs efforts and defining the organization\'s annual government affairs platform which will include key credit union issues in addition to important legislative issues that impact Member experience and the ability to conduct business in the city and state. This position will ensure that Mazuma is well represented locally and nationally and engages with government officials and legislators. This position also leads Mazuma\'s internal efforts to educate and prepare the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and interested team members regarding Mazuma\'s annual government affairs initiatives in preparation for state and national visits with government officials and legislators.
