About Laura Bowden

I am a Human Resources & Operations leader for mission-driven organizations, with a focus on cultivating high performing teams in a fully remote, multi-national environment. Currently, I’m the Vice President, People at Tessitura Network, meaning that, along with our fantastic People Team, I oversee the human resources strategy and operations for our 350+ globally distributed team members. My career has always been at the intersection of arts and business. Tessitura, as a nonprofit technology company working exclusively with arts and cultural organizations, is the perfect combination of those interests. My undergraduate degree is in business – I was probably the only person in my business school class who was interested in nonprofit work, but I always knew it was where I wanted to be! I started my career in fundraising and special events, spent time pursuing a graduate degree and career in vocal performance, then through some perfect timing wound up at Tessitura. I live in New York City and when I’m not working or traveling, I spend time enjoying the city’s amazing arts, food, and coffee. I honestly love to talk about work!
