About Laura Walsh
Hi there! My name is Laura, and I am a Background Artist working in TV Animation. I graduated from Quinebaug Valley Community College in 2016 with a degree in Visual Arts and the dream of one day working in the animation industry. Since moving cross-country to Los Angeles in 2017, I\'ve had many cool experiences working in different creative industries. Some of my favorites include working as a Graphic Designer and Production Artist at a prop studio in North Hollywood, where I helped design product packaging and labels that were featured in TV and commercials; and my current position as a Freelance Background Painter on the YouTube series TheOdd1sOut. Although the majority of my professional work is completed digitally, I also enjoy working traditionally during my free time. Some of my favorite mediums to work with are gouache, watercolors and Posca Paint Markers- just to name a few! Outside of painting, I enjoy hiking and camping, whittling, screen printing, and taking my two kitties- Ziggy Stardust & Eddie Van Halen- for their daily walkies!
