Hi, I’m Laura, your Cacao Queen and the founder of KUYU, a premium superfood cacao brand. Our mission is to promote health and happiness through clean, nutrient-dense Peruvian superfood blends. Our proprietary, evidence-based formulations combine ancient Peruvian wellness traditions with science to enhance health, mood, and well-being. We partner with small, family-owned farms that practice regenerative agriculture in rural Peru and donate 1% of our profits to these communities.KUYU means Happy Water in Quechua, and our elixirs are designed to do just that—elevate mood, calm the mind, and enhance well-being. As a Stanford-trained scientist, I leverage cacao as a powerful ally, using its bioactive compounds—like theobromine, anandamide (the “bliss molecule”), and tryptophan—to support neural pathways linked to joy, focus, and appetite regulation. A multilingual leader, I’ve lived and worked in eight countries, leading cross-functional teams.I hold a B.A. with Honors in Human Biology from Stanford University and an MSc. in Global Health from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.I’m passionate about promoting global health and, as such, thrilled to launch KUYU, your wellness elixirs!
