ABOUT LAURA HILLIGER
I am/have been a: concept architect, open strategist, design lead, community champion, evangelist and marketer, creative director, project manager, product owner, designer, media and film maker, liaison between design and development, writer, dev, coach, learning hacker, curriculum expert, educator, thought partner. As a activist, educator, writer and technologist, I believe in openness, solidarity and equity. I spent over 5 years helping Mozilla strategically develop their educational initiative and have been working with Greenpeace since 2015. I’ve conceptualized, designed, developed and advocated for platforms, websites, interactive projects, programs, workshops, frameworks and curriculum that teach web literacy and digital skills, leadership, as well as learning theory, participatory design, and human development. I’ve designed and run workshops and classes teaching others how to design and develop their own projects using a synthesis of design and agile methodologies, web skills and digital graphic tools and techniques. I\'m an open generalist with a Masters of Art in Media and Education.
