About Laura Norton
I have almost 25 years of experience building workplace culture and community and managing office operations in the creative services industry. These workplaces have been recognized locally and nationally as “Best Places to Work.” Awards are shiny and great, but I believe in the power of workplace culture to help employees feel valued and create a sense of pride and belonging, which directly impacts recruitment and retention. I have been described as the “heart and soul” of the workplaces I’ve supported. I’m used to wearing many hats at once: office manager, facilities manager, events planner, client hospitality provider, executive support, presentation designer, internal communications manager, construction project manager, emergency preparedness planner, crisis coordinator, DEIBA leader, historian, content creator, brand ambassador, project manager, and employee engagement champion. I also have experience managing health & wellness initiatives, sustainability programs, community service/philanthropy, and employee recognition/perks/gifts. One of the highlights of my career thus far was managing the large-scale remodel of a office space in downtown Minneapolis. I delivered this complex, multi-phase project on schedule and under budget. I’m extremely passionate about workplace culture and DEI. I’ve seen firsthand how prioritizing a people-first model that emphasizes inclusion can cultivate strong workplace relationships and empower people to do their best work.
