ABOUT LAURA TURO CORBIANI

Finances can feel confusing, stressful, and overwhelming. After all, we’re talking about your life savings… no big deal, right? My goal is to empower clients not just to understand their finances, but to uncover what they truly want their money to do for them—as whole, complex, wonderful humans. I began my career in 2008, right in the middle of the Global Financial Crisis (remember that fun time?). That experience taught me how painful economic downturns can be, but it also shaped my outlook: resilience paired with optimism. Before pivoting to financial planning, I worked in scientific research and studied fine art (ask me about ceramics and nuclear waste!). I bring that same curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking into the financial planning practice I founded: Astraea Wealth Management. My mission was (and is) to create a financial planning experience that’s more personal, thoughtful, and human than the traditional industry model. Over the years, I’ve helped clients navigate layoffs, career changes, retirement, divorce, cross-country moves, loss, and surprise pregnancies (and sometimes multiple of these at the same time). I meet people where they are—whether they need clarity, validation, or simply someone to hold space for both the joy and the grief that come with change. As a woman who’s spent her career in male-dominated fields—and who knows a thing or two about anxiety—I understand the extra weight of proving yourself and worrying about financial security, even when the numbers say you’re fine. At Astraea, our mission is simple: to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and understood. No jargon. No judgment. Just helpful next steps.
