About Laura Dillon

I am currently a senior undergraduate student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the Haslam College of Business, pursuing a double major in Finance and Marketing. I have always been a deliberative person who takes serious consideration into the decisions I make and choices I must consider. I can exemplify this strength in a variety of ways. Whether it is in a group project or in my role as Vice President Risk Management in my sorority, I do not take decisions lightly and am always fully thinking through my options before I come to a conclusion. I also take pride in my achievements and the act of being productive. I enjoy staying busy and the feelings that come with accomplishing a task. Whether it is a large project or small task, I always try to put forth my best effort and aim for successful outcomes. Some of my business interests include understanding consumer interests and consequential trends in marketing and finance, as well as generally understanding how marketing tactics vary across generations and cultures. My experience conducting research has prepared me to begin pursuing a career in marketing. For example, during my AP Research class my senior year of high school, I conducted a yearlong research project in which I studied how streaming platforms could best marketing their services to older adults. My career goal after college is to hold a financial analyst role dealing with budgeting and forecasting.
