ABOUT LAURA SUNDAY

Laura is a transactional attorney with a robust background in corporate law, particularly in capital markets, public and private offerings, SEC reporting, and corporate governance. Currently serving as a Securities and Capital Markets Associate at McGuireWoods LLP in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to McGuireWoods, Laura was a Capital Markets/Corporate Associate at Skadden in Houston, Texas for five years and Moore and Van Allen in Charlotte, North Carolina for one year. Laura specializes in advising clients on a wide array of legal matters, including, but not limited to, 33\' and 34\' Act filings, private and public equity and debt offerings, at-the-market offerings, and corporate governance issues. Her expertise extends to drafting various legal documents crucial for securities offerings and corporate deals, and she has excelled in roles where she has led deals with lean teams, sometimes as the sole associate with a partner. Laura\'s commitment to excellence is evident in her proactive client communication, efficient coordination with specialist teams across offices, and her dedication to mentoring and supervising junior attorneys.In addition to her corporate legal career, Laura has dedicated her legal skills to pro bono work, representing clients in various immigration matters, veteran\'s rights affairs, equity for reproductive rights matters and providing counsel to nonprofit organizations. Prior to law school, Laura furthered her education with a Master of Science in Secondary Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins Graduate School of Education after completing her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of California, Davis.
