In January of 2010, I co-founded a non profit named Images Without Borders (\"IWOB\") to help Doctors Without Borders in Haiti. We started with 10 photographers, and presently have 225 from 18 countries around the world who contribute to us. We founded this charity, in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti. Wishing to contribute to the humanitarian aid effort, but blessed with more talent, than money, we joined with other photographers to make their images available to the public. All profits go to Doctors Without Borders, less the cost of printing. Every image offered by Images Without Borders is as a limited edition of one print. Gallery Prints are offered at $125 & $250. iPhoneography prints are offered at $40 & $72. When one print of either are sold, the image will be retired. All profits go directly to Doctors without Borders, less only the cost of printing. We raised approximately $7500, of which went to Doctors without Borders, and $500 went to Second Harvest (Feeding America) in New Orleans to help fishermen after the BP spill. We also donated prints to help Animal Rescue New Orleans raise badly needed funds. In Fall 2013, we wound down our fundraising activities.We plan to use Images without Borders as a resource for teaching photography to at risk children and teenagers, around the world, with the help of the wonderful photographers/contributors who are part of the IWOB family. At present, my co-founder and I need to concentrate on our own careers, that we neglected during much of 2010 through 2012.
