ABOUT LAURA BELL
I graduated from the University of Sunderland in the summer of 2011. Since then I have spent time in volunteer roles, a fixed term role in a regional PR agency, in house at national training providers and the social care sector. I have been able to build key communication industry skills in the positions that I have held in the past. I have worked on regional PR and marketing campaigns and delivered services on a B2B and B2C basis. I have managed brand building and built upon brand awareness from the early stages of brand management. I enjoyed working in the digital media and marketing communications sector providing communications management, digital marketing tools and solutions.I realised that what I enjoyed most was engaging with young people, so I decided to re-train and made a move into the education sector. I have worked in secondary education predominantly in a supportive teaching and learning capacity. I have worked in SEN specialist teams for over 9 years. Currently I work for Gateshead Council in the LINT Team in a specialist role supporting children and young people with a hearing loss.
