ABOUT LAURA WINGERS

Laura Wingers, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and the founder of CENTER Psychology & Consulting, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has over 20 years’ experience and expertise in pediatric neuropsychology, clinical psychology, and school psychology. She works closely with parents, teachers, physicians and other treatment providers to identify and meet the needs of school age children and adolescents. Dr. Wingers’ professional focus includes: • Highly/profoundly gifted intellect and twice-exceptionality (2E) • ADHD and executive function impairments • anxiety and mood disorders • dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and other learning differences • mind/body medicine and pediatric integrative and complementary health approaches She is honored to maintain long-term relationships with many of the families she works with, akin to serving as a “mental health pediatrician” for periodic check-ins over the course of a child’s development. She is particularly passionate about prevention and early identification, identifying and meeting the needs of children to improve individual and family functioning. She provides treatment recommendations that are evidence-based, using an integrative and holistic approach. Dr. Wingers takes a collaborative, therapeutic assessment approach with patients and their families. She also provides consultations for parents as well as mindfulness-based intervention approaches. Dr. Wingers also provides training and consultation services for local and national organizations, school districts and parent groups. Dr. Wingers holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a post-master’s specialist degree in school psychology. She serves on the board of the Arizona Psychology Training Consortium, dedicated to providing quality postdoctoral training for future psychologists, and also serves on the governing council of the Arizona Psychological Association. She is a member of numerous professional organizations. She also supervises practicum students in a clinical psychology doctoral program and trains post-doctoral residents.
