About Laura Sherman
Laura is a Public Sector Contracts and Deal Strategist leading the Channel Partner program at Google Cloud. Laura has over 12 years of commercial and government contracts experience, both as an in-house attorney and in business roles. At Amazon, Laura ran the legal support for the sales and marketing team for Amazon Web Services’ Physical Stores Technology (Just Walk Out, Amazon One, Dash Carts) business. Laura was previously public sector counsel for Amazon Business and worked on Amazon Business’ first competitively awarded contract with the federal government. Prior to joining Amazon, Laura was in-house at Hewlett Packard Enterprise supporting the State and Local Government and Education team and, before that, was at Wiley Rein LLP as an associate in the government contracts practice. Laura is skilled at negotiation and drafting of complex technology agreements, product counseling, sustainability and green marketing, and collaborating on cross-functional teams (sales, business development, alliances/partners, PR, public policy). She received her JD from the George Washington University Law School and BA, Honors from Villanova University.
