ABOUT LAURA REMMERT

Specializing in weddings and corporate/not-for-profit events, Laura Remmert Events offers consulting, full service and day-of planning as well as floral and event design. Laura Remmert lives in Brooklyn Heights where she runs her event planning and design firm. With 10 years of experience in special events, Laura brings a fresh approach to event and wedding planning as well as event design. After graduating from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a double major in Business Administration and Communications, Laura spent time in Albany working for the City of Albany Office of Special Events and Classé Catering. However, the majority of Laura’s event experience has taken place in New York City. She spent five years at the Council on Foreign Relations – Harold Pratt House, where she held the position of Associate Director of Special Events before founding Laura Remmert Events in Fall 2010. During her time at CFR, Laura assisted in the planning, logistics and design of annual events for CFR members as well as a planning a variety of weddings, social events and corporate/not-for-profit events that took place at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall. Since launching Laura Remmert Events in Fall 2010, Laura has had the opportunity plan and design events throughout the NYC area at a range of venues including the Pratt House, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Museum City of New York, Wave Hill and the University Club in addition to planning destination events in Costa Rica, Anguilla, Harbour Island, Newport, Saratoga Springs and East Hampton.
