ABOUT LAURA MURRAY

I’m an attorney with 14 years of in-house experience, most recently as General Counsel for a state-level trade association. Over the years, I’ve handled everything from governance and employment issues to compliance and risk management—always with a focus on helping mission-driven organizations navigate complexity with clarity and purpose.I\'m especially drawn to roles that blend legal expertise with leadership and strategy—places where thoughtful counsel can strengthen teams, clarify direction, and support long-term success.When I care about something, I give it my all. I’ve run a marathon, and I had a run streak that lasted over 500 days (yes, at least one mile every day!). When a broken bone stopped my running streak, I adapted to find new ways I could keep a streak going. That same dedication and consistency shape how I approach my work—steadfast, focused, and driven to keep moving forward, even when the path gets tough.Outside of work, I love running, reading, and travel. I grew up in a Navy family and moved often as a child, which gave me the chance to see the world early on and taught me how to adapt, stay curious, and appreciate different perspectives.
