Build, oversee, and mentor the USA/Canada Accounting & Finance Team of 35+ staff responsible for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, including internal monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budgets. • Manage Accounts Payable and Credit/Receivable Departments, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, billings, collections, and cash application. Monitor A/R collections and initiate appropriate action on delinquent accounts. Review and approve applications for new open credit arrangements.• Coordinate month-end closing process including but not limited to journal entry review, balance sheet/income statement/KPI analysis, and budget vs actual analysis.• Prepare and present reports that summarize and forecast company activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, earnings, bookings, and backlog based on past, present, and expected operations.• Model financial impacts of various strategic initiatives (i.e. list-price or cost changes, inventory sourcing mix, cash flow projections, and variable compensation adjustments).• Participate in M&A activities, performing due diligence and audits for closing valuation.• Complete physical inventory audits and analyze/update inventory costing related to labor, overhead, and freight surcharges.• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to prepare annual Sales & Marketing Plans and budgets for North America and present to C-Suite.• Administer all North American pay plan preparation and commission/bonus calculations monthly, quarterly, and annually and evaluate pay plan structures for effectiveness based on corporate objectives.• Establish and maintain processes and controls. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting internal audits; provide information to external auditors. • Participate in special projects related to ERP/Reporting systems, strategic initiatives, and streamlining processes.
