My practice focuses on U.S. and European data privacy and data protection laws and proposed legislation. I help companies get into compliance and remain in compliance with privacy and data protection laws across the full spectrum of obligations under the CCPA and other U.S. state laws, the GDPR, the PIPEDA, and various sectoral privacy, data management and data security laws. Experience designing and implementing data privacy and data protection programs at fortune 500 companies, primarily in the technology, telecom and financial services industries. Experience working with all stakeholders, from product developers to the C-suite, to implement privacy by design. Experience analyzing proposed data privacy and data security legislation and supporting public policy and advocacy teams. Extensive experience drafting and negotiating controller-processor and service provider agreements and managing large-scale privacy contract remediation efforts. Experience designing privacy training programs. Knowledge of cybersecurity and data breach issues.My work in the privacy field follows 15 years of corporate civil and white collar litigation practice in large law firms in New York, Washington D.C. and London. I have represented corporate and individual clients in white collar criminal investigations and litigation, including matters under the FCPA, the UK Bribery Act, securities laws and whistle-blower laws, and have been involved in conducting numerous corporate internal investigations. My civil litigation experience spans antitrust, securities, intellectual property and enforcement of judgments.
