ABOUT LAURA MCMASTER

As the Director of Coach Development at Beyond BookSmart, I take pride in steering a dynamic team of over 250 EF coaches and full-time staff toward excellence in 1:1 Executive Function Coaching for Students and Adults of all ages. With a focus on talent acquisition, I orchestrate the entire coach lifecycle—from recruitment to training, ongoing support, and comprehensive evaluation. Leveraging my extensive experience, I ensure the continuous growth and development of our coaching team, fostering a culture of excellence and client success. In addition, my role oversees customer success, ensuring our clients receive unparalleled service and achieve their desired outcomes. My commitment to client satisfaction is a cornerstone of my leadership philosophy. As a core member of the leadership team, I play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our 1:1 coaching division. I am at the forefront of decision-making, collaborating with fellow leaders to implement initiatives that drive innovation, growth, and operational excellence. I hold a Ph.D. in Educational and Organizational Leadership from Clemson University, where I focused on leadership development, organizational culture, and student engagement. I also have a strong background in education, having taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for more than 10 years at various institutions, including Webster University, where I was a core faculty member. My mission is to leverage my expertise in coaching, education, and leadership to foster a culture of innovation, learning, growth, and collaboration.
