ABOUT LAURA MAGENHEIMER
I’m a commercial and infrastructure-focused legal leader with over a decade of experience helping high-growth technology companies scale globally—without slowing down. In my current role as Associate General Counsel at Appian, I’ve led global transaction strategy across 4,800+ agreements spanning SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, and vendor ecosystems, delivering more than $376M in cost savings while maintaining speed-to-close. I also built and scaled the company’s procurement legal function from the ground up, implementing governance frameworks, negotiation playbooks, and contracting systems that support high-volume, high-complexity deal environments. My work sits at the intersection of legal, business, and technology. I partner closely with executive leadership, engineering, security, and finance teams to structure agreements that reflect real-world operational needs—whether that involves data protection, cloud architecture, or global expansion. I’m particularly interested in roles where legal is a strategic enabler of growth—especially in areas involving infrastructure, AI, and complex vendor ecosystems. I enjoy building systems, solving ambiguous problems, and helping organizations move quickly while making thoughtful, risk-aware decisions.
