About Laura Lynch
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Iowa State University in May 2023. I have a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering with an emphasis in Biomedical Engineering. I enjoy a challenge to create or improve a process or experience by eliminating waste and leveraging human talent and ingenuity.I have worked on the manufacturing floor alongside machinists and operators throughout my internships, in design rooms with engineering teams, and have participated in strategic business planning. I have applied various lean principles, standard work, time studies, line balancing, calibrations, and VBA programming. My education has taught me programming, mathematical modeling, machining, setup reduction, continuous improvement, and more.I am passionate about applying my skills and experience in the healthcare industry. I am eager to improve patient lives through accessible and innovative medical technologies and solutions. With a combination of industrial and biomedical engineering, I will to improve the efficiency, quality, and manufacturability of medical devices and business processes.Outside of work and school, I volunteer at Food at First and the American Red Cross. I am a member of the Tau Beta Pi Alpha Engineering Honor Society and Alpha Pi Mu Industrial Engineering Honor Society at Iowa State University, where I enjoy connecting with other engineers and professors. In my available time, I also enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and reading.
