ABOUT LAURA KOPEC
I am a junior in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, majoring in Culture and Politics and minoring in French and Francophone Studies and English. In 2023, I obtained my International Baccalaureate diploma from Palm Harbor University High School. My ultimate passion is serving the communities I am a part of. In high school, I co-founded the nonprofit Feeding the Fosters Inc. and became involved in local political advocacy at the school district level. At Georgetown, I work for Students of Georgetown Inc.(The Corp), the largest student-run and operated nonprofit business in the world, as well as exploring my interest for the environment and business as a Georgetown Eco Consultant. I am aspiring towards a career that will allow me to similarly make tangible change while engaging with others.I enjoy writing, reading, and immersing myself in different cultures through travel and exchange programs. I have spent time in both Japan and France as a student and intern, and am looking forward to studying abroad at the Instituts d’études politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris in the fall 2025 semester.
