Clinical tasks- Serve as the primary provider of routine prenatal care and postpartum examinations in the Maternal Fetal Medicine outpatient clinic, providing thorough and compassionate care to a diverse and complex group of patients- Provide care in our multidisciplinary complex endocrine clinic, alongside certified diabetes educators, social workers, psychologists, and physicians - Round on patients in the inpatient postpartum unit twice weekly - Place long-acting contraceptive devices (IUDs and Nexplanon)- Interpret non-stress tests and biophysical profiles- Triage patients being referred from outside providers to ensure they are scheduled into the correct clinic- Proficiently document on all patient encounters in Epic EMR Administrative tasks- Served as a Co-Clinic Lead of a new clinical site upon its opening, and participated in bi-weekly meetings with the administrative team to work through the growing pains of a new clinical site- Work closely with clinic leads by actively participating in regular multidisciplinary planning meetings to optimize clinic workflow and patient care in the multidisciplinary complex endocrine clinic - Keep EMR in-basket up-to-date, while also helping check MD in-baskets when out of office, and also linking to the nurse\'s in-basket to assist with patient questions - Assist with facilitating patient access into our outpatient network of care- Track clinical metrics pertaining to MFM clinicTeaching- Host University of Colorado Physician Assistant student in MFM clinic monthly as part of their larger reproductive health rotation- Work closely with OB/GYN resident physicians on postpartum rounds and within the complex endocrine clinic - Co-precepted a women\'s health nurse practitioner student for a semester in Fall 2024- Provide shadowing opportunities to students hoping to apply to Physician Assistant programs in the future
