   I have significant experience in the health care industry and balance my practice between health law and health insurance law. I represent health care providers, suppliers, and health insurers including managed care organizations and preferred provider organizations. My health law practice focuses on helping clients keep pace with increasing changes in federal and state healthcare laws and regulations and handling critical issues that are defining the way health care is delivered today. I have successfully represented clients in actions taken by governmental authorities. I have served as general counsel to a health insurer and third-party administrator and have extensive knowledge of Maryland laws and regulations affecting insurers. I also represent insurance clients on a wide range of regulatory and business issues, including compliance and market conduct exams. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I served as a consultant to national hospital corporations. I also have worked as a psychiatric social worker for the courts and have been involved as a health care consultant in program evaluation. I am regularly tapped to speak on cutting-edge issues.
