ABOUT LAURA GUNTER
I have been a practicing paramedic in the Kansas City area EMS system for nearly 22 years. I spent 7.5 years as a field paramedic then became a supervisor in field operations with MAST Ambulance. In 2010 we merged with the Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department where I currently serve as Deputy Chief in the Emergency Operations Bureau. Specialties: I have been actively involved in recruitment, candidate hiring and assessment center processes for new hires as well as promotional candidates throughout my career. Serving on both Executive Boards of IAFF Local 3808 and Local 42 with experience in collective bargaining and the labor management process/partnership has supplemented my higher education and career goals.
