ABOUT LAURA GORMAN

Commercial property solicitor advising clients on transactions across a range of sectors. Has particular experience in:• Advising developers on residential and commercial development schemes, including site assembly, funding and onward sale/lettings• Acting for tenants in the science and technology sector taking leasehold premises, particularly start-up and spin-out companies • Advising landowners granting options for complex development schemes• Assisting tenants acquiring newly built premises conditional on planning and construction• Advising charities on property management and disposals and the relevant regulatory regimeBroader practice includes:• Sales and purchases• Leasing work, acting for landlord or tenant• Property management work, including for charities• Development – site assembly, forward sales and funding• Options and promotion agreements• Overage arrangements• Financing, including portfolio financingLaura moved to PMC in May 2016, having previously trained and practised at Slaughter and May. She has a degree in Law from Cambridge University and qualified as a solicitor in 2015.In her free time Laura enjoys running and is a member of a local choir.• PMC’s Oxford real estate team has operated in the local market for many years. We are proud of the fact that we have close and long standing relationships with various Colleges and we are always looking for opportunities to assist others with their property needs.• We know the local business/ science parks well. We are the retained solicitor on one of them and act for the Landlord in connection with the ongoing development of this park, new lettings and day to day management issues. We are very familiar with the other business/ science parks and we have helped many tenants move on to them and negotiate with their landlord in connection with any resulting legal issues.
