I lead Hitachi Energy in the UK & Ireland — a business right at the heart of the energy transition. My focus is on turning strategy into action: building the energy system for the future, a system that is capable of connecting renewables to the grid, enabling large-scale offshore wind and low carbon generation, and incorporating storage projects. An energy system that is smart, digitally enabled, resilient, and capable of delivering low carbon power at affordable prices to consumers and businesses because that creates opportunity for individuals and businesses to thrive in an increasingly uncertain world.As Chair of RenewableUK, I work with government, industry, and communities to move beyond discussion and into delivery — accelerating the path to net zero through collaboration, innovation, and shared ambition.I’m driven by a simple but powerful goal: to make the world a better place to live and work by creating resilient, affordable, and clean power systems that support thriving communities and future generations.With over 25 years in the energy sector, including senior roles at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, I’ve seen how creativity, courage, and collaboration can turn uncertainty into opportunity — and how the energy transition gives us a once-in-a-generation chance to reimagine how we power our future.
