ABOUT LAURA FIGUEROA HUAMANI
I graduated from Hunter College this spring 2020 semester with a major in biochemistry and a minor in psychology. I am currently working as a personal care assistant in C&T Home Care Services, LLC. I currently volunteer at Hunter College Center for Cancer Health Disparities Research (CCHDR) and at Voces Latinas Corp. In the Hunter College Center for Cancer Health Disparities Research (CCHDR), I conduct educational presentations in Spanish and facilitate surveys to assess how impactful the educational presentation is. In Voces Latina Corp, my purpose is to help out Latina women to have a safe place, where they can share and learn with others. My college and work experience define me as a great leader, team player, multi-tasker, methodical, responsible, independent, problem-solver, creative, quick learner and proactive.
