Perform physical examinations of children with a variety of kidney disorders. • Manage chronic healthcare issues through history, physical examination, and diagnosis.• Prescribe essential pharmacologic interventions for management of kidney disorders including: chronic kidney disease, primary and secondary hypertension, solitary kidney, nephrotic syndrome, hypercalciuria, and various forms of kidney stones. • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures including renal ultrasounds, echocardiograms, 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitors and kidney biopsies. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, advanced practice nurses, dieticians, social workers, and child life specialists.
