ABOUT LAURA DENEY
I am an Emmy award winning editor, producer, and co-owner of Flicker Filmworks, a documentary film and television company that focuses on work for social and environmental justice. For over 19 years, I have been executive producing and showrunning compelling and engaging stories that inspire and educate audiences around the world. Currently, I am editing a wonderful feature documentary called \"Generation Warrior\" with TV Gals about teens growing up in the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. As a Showrunner, I EP\'d three seasons of Going From Broke, a series created by Ashton Kutcher that helps people overcome the student debt crisis, and two seasons of Chicken Soup for the Soul\'s Hidden Heroes, an Emmy-nominated show which celebrates everyday heroes. Working with Zero Point Zero as an editor, my partner and I co-edited the feature documentary Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, executive produced by Anthony Bourdain. I have also worked on multiple projects for National Geographic, Netflix, PBS, and more, showcasing my expertise in food and travel films. My mission is to use storytelling as a tool for change and create films that resonate with diverse and global audiences.
