Why HR you ask? I have always loved stories and story problems. For me, they were always easier and more interesting than just the basic math functions. Guess that is just the way my brain works. Yes, data is important and can give insight and direction, but with humans there is ALWAYS information/data you don\'t have. Yet, decisions must be made.I am comfortable in the gray. There are many things that are black and white. Those are easy. Is it legal or not? But there are many HR decisions that are gradient. I thrive there.My passion is engaging and developing individuals at every level in the organization. Starting with recruiting talent that is a great cultural fit and only ending when they exit for the last time. I strive to be a HR Yoda. Continuous work in progress!As my headline states, I am a golfer or at least that is another thing I continue to work at. It is my escape. I don\'t think about anything else while on the course but the beauty of my surroundings, engaging with my playing partners and my strategy for playing the next hole.My other passion is saving the butterflies and the bees. Each year another part of my yard is revamped to provide them with a safe & healthy environment. Who needs more lawn to mow? Summer is too short in Wisconsin the way it is. And I would rather be golfing!
