ABOUT LAURA CHEATHAM
With over a decade of experience in educational leadership, my mission at City Colleges of Chicago is to foster strategic initiatives that enhance instructional quality and student outcomes. Through my role as Executive Director, I apply a research lens to generate impactful metrics for our programs. My commitment to improving education aligns with our institution\'s mission, and I am dedicated to bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to our team.Currently, I lead the priority Adult Education work, ensuring seamless transitions of our students from Adult Education into Credit Programs through Career Bridge Pathways, the Gateway Scholarship, or other opportunities. I also oversee the curriculum & instruction for Adult Education and the professional development of adult educators. As well as the instructional technology manager who runs our LMS and instructional designers. My responsibilities include defining project scope, managing stakeholder expectations, and aligning efforts across teams. Leveraging mindfulness and leadership skills, I propose innovative strategies and secure resources to advance our educational goals.
