ABOUT LAURA CAUCHI

I began my career working at the world class Princess Margaret Hospital as a research assistant immediately following graduation from Western University. After a couple of years, I moved to industry where I worked at Apotex and with Byk Pharma respectively. In October 2001, I joined Amgen Canada and I have had the pleasure and valuable experience to grow my career with the Amgen team since then.I consider myself to be a seasoned and accomplished clinical research professional who has continued to lead high performing teams to success for many years. I have had the diverse experience to lead or perform all functional roles within the local global site operations team, including an interim assignment as the Director, Global Site Operations for Canada during that leader\'s temporary assignment in the UK.In 2015 I took on the challenge of a newly created leadership role as the Senior Medical Advisor for the non-oncology portfolio for Canada with dotted line reporting to the Global TA head. In 2021, I took on the challenge of leading the Medical Information team through a period of transition and restructuring, while still maintaining best in class metrics for managing medical information inquiries from patients and HCPs.After 21 years of service with Amgen, I am very excited to take on a new challenge with PPD (part of ThermoFisher) as the Executive Director, Hematology/Oncology Business Segment Lead (NA) beginning in June of 2022.With more than 25 years of clinical research and medical affairs experience (both national and global assignments) coupled with advanced degrees from the University of Toronto, I am confident that I can meet any challenge within this industry.
