ABOUT LAURA C.
I am an experienced and values-driven educational leader, currently serving as Executive Head Teacher. With years of leadership experience in some of the country’s most challenging contexts, my work has consistently focused on transforming outcomes, reimagining systems and widening opportunity for every child. My leadership journey has been anchored in a belief that education is the most powerful lever for social equity but this can only be realised when we dismantle one-size-fits-all approaches and instead build empathetic, bold and system-wide responses that address the complex barriers many children face. From turning around schools in Special Measures to national recognition for progress and equity, I’ve led school improvement through:Strategic school development and curriculum innovation, Building inclusive, trauma-informed environments Implementing a successful TEACCH hubEmpowering staff through collaboration and wellbeingDriving measurable impact through data and research-informed practicesMy approach blends strategic vision with practical action, shaped by a strong foundation as a qualified SENCO, STEM specialist and curriculum leader and always grounded in the whole-child approach. I’ve implemented high impact pupil premium strategies, built cross-sector partnerships and coached teams to deliver sustainable, long-term change. My mission is to amplify ambition, fight for equity, create belonging and build systems where all children - not just some - can thrive. Whether leading in a classroom, a school or across a community, I believe in the power of collective effort and courageous leadership to rewrite what’s possible.“Working hard for something we don\'t care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion.\" – Simon SinekLet’s connect if you\'re passionate about system transformation, equity in education and building a brighter future for every child.
