ABOUT LAUREEN MADANI
I am currently a Senior Strategy Manager in the Strategy & Business Development team at TELUS, where I lead initiatives in the Chief Product Office to drive growth strategies, assess new market opportunities, and evaluate partnerships and M&A deals in consumer products and services. Prior to TELUS, I was a Manager in the Strategy team at Scotiabank, developing and executing enterprise-level strategies and providing senior leadership with strategic advice, and solving short and long term business problems. My prior roles included being Senior Consultant at the Canadian Tire Corporation, in their Value Creation team, where I managed business integrations, divestitures, and strategic initiatives. I also supported the oversight of portfolio companies and investments. Earlier in my career, I worked as an Associate in BDO’s M&A and Capital Markets practice, advising on middle-market M&A transactions and financial due diligence engagements. I started my career at KPMG in their Energy & Mining audit practice and Funds, Insurance, and Real Estate audit group. I am a CPA and hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. I have also passed the CFA Level I exam in July 2021.
